About the MAPS research at Corvinus University

Across the world, researchers, policymakers, and communities are asking a profound question: what would it look like to build economies that truly honour life?

This video explores that question and the work that is being done to answer it. Drawing on post-growth thinking, we challenge the long-held assumption that economic growth automatically delivers prosperity and environmental protection — and opens a door to something more honest, and more hopeful. It introduces the MAPS project, and how it develops the models, simulations, and policy pathways needed to make high wellbeing for all people genuinely compatible with planetary boundaries. The work happening at Corvinus sits at the heart of this effort — bringing together participatory research, future scenario-building, and EU-level policymaking to ensure that transformative change is both rigorous and rooted in lived experience.
